National External Diploma Program (NEDP)
The National External Diploma Program (NEDP) provides students with a path towards high school completion. It is an ideal program for students who are motivated and self-directed. Students work individually with an assessor to demonstrate high school level mastery of skills.
The program takes approximately 6-12 months to complete and provides the graduate with a high school diploma that is accepted by colleges, jobs, and training programs. A VRABE Regional Adult High School Diploma is awarded upon successful completion of the program.

To Begin Classes:
New students must register for and attend an orientation session before being admitted into NEDP classes.
Students ages 17 or 18 must have a CONNECTICUT high school withdrawal form.
At the orientation sessions, the program is described and students participate in a goal-setting activity. CASAS appraisal testing is also administered. The student will then schedule a one-on-one meeting with a counselor to develop a plan for achieving their diploma.
