Welcome to Vernon Regional Adult Based Education

View Orientation Schedule and Register Now

An orientation appointment is required for High School Completion Programs (CDP, GED, and NEDP classes). An orientation is required for new students only.

CREDIT DIPLOMA PROGRAM (CDP) - Third Trimester CDP classes will begin on March 7, 2016

GED - Second Semester GED classes will begin in mid-January 2016. Third Trimester GED classes (Vernon sites) will begin in March 2016.

ESL - Second Semester ESL classes will begin in mid-January 2016.

Mandatory Orientation Requirement:

New students must attend an orientation session before being admitted into high school completion classes, including CDP, GED and NEDP.

  • Click on the blue box above to register for an orientation session.
  • Write down your orientation date since no reminders will be sent to you.
  • Arrive 5 - 10 minutes before the start of the orientation.

CDP Classes:

THIRD TRIMESTER classes for Credit Diploma Program (CDP) begin on March 7, 2016, (orientation required for NEW students only). Returning students should contact their guidance counselor for an updated schedule.

GED Classes:

Some GED classes run on a semester schedule and Vernon sites run on a trimester schedule.  SECOND SEMESTER classes for General Educational Development (GED) begin in mid-January 2016.  THIRD TRIMESTER classes (at Vernon sites) begin on March 7, 2016.  View individual site calendar for specific start dates for each location.

ESL Classes:

SECOND SEMESTER classes for English as a Second Language (ESL) begin in mid-January 2016. (NO orientation required). Registration is done the first night of class, and students must bring their I.D. on the first night of class. View individual site calendar for specific start dates for each location.

Vernon Regional Adult Based Education

Serves 14 towns east of Hartford, CT. Our programming offers a variety of opportunities for adults age 17 and over to obtain and enhance their education and career growth.

Vernon Continuing Education

Provides a large selection of fee-based enrichment classes for the adult community. We welcome you to our site and hope you will explore the many opportunities Vernon Regional Adult Based Education provides to adults to meet their individual interests. We are here for your “lifelong learning" needs.

Registration will begin on Tuesday, January 26th at 8 A.M. Registering online is the best way to insure a seat in the class(es) of your choice. You may also register by calling 860-870-6060. Once again, registration for the Spring 2016 semester will begin on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at 8 A.M.
